Performance and Wellbeing (in construction)

To perform – it’s not just something actors do onstage or behind the screen. We all perform in our daily lives, whether we perform tasks, presentations or parts of ourselves. How can developing physical and vocal skills address anxiety over these daily performances, improve self-care and wellbeing? This workshop will bring us back to gently care for our breath and posture so we can improve focus, concentration, coordination, balance, presence and expressive communication. This workshop draws from martial arts and Western actor training approaches to movement and voice, to help us re-find serenity and enjoyment in our daily performances and communications with the world.
